CFAMM is recruiting volunteer members to join our Board of Directors and contribute to the strategic evolution of the organization.
Who we are:
Canadians for Fair Access to Medical Marijuana (CFAMM) is a national non-profit organization which has successfully represented medical cannabis patients since 2014. CFAMM has emerged as the thoughtful, legitimate, grassroots voice for medical cannabis in the non-profit advocacy space.
With a membership list exceeding 15,000 patients, a persistently strong media presence, and established relationships with stakeholders – CFAMM will continue to deliver positive evidence-based policy outcomes for medical cannabis patients and the overall medical cannabis community.
Who you are:
As a board member of CFAMM, we look to you to be committed and passionate to the values, mission, goals, and objectives of CFAMM. Directors must have experience in healthcare, advocacy, legal, government, or the nonprofit sectors. We are currently seeking individuals who have expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Policy (federal and provincial) and/or government relations
- Communications and marketing
- Patient care, including health care professionals
- Planning of strategic initiatives
- Financial management
- Board governance
In addition, CFAMM values directors who are collaborative and bring new ideas to the table. We expect directors to hold a high degree of personal and professional integrity in order to maintain CFAMM’s high level of credibility. All directors are expected to contribute to fundraising efforts.
Commitment and term:
Board members are asked to contribute a minimum 4-5 hours per month (excluding committees) and meetings are held monthly via teleconference.
Each term is 2 years and is renewable at the board’s discretion.
